Jenny Santi is a Filipino artist, author, and philanthropy specialist based in New York. She started painting only 3 years ago, when she found solace in art while healing from a bout with depression and burnout from her social impact career. She has since honed her skills through intensive training at institutions including the Art Students League of New York as well as the Florence Academy of Art.

Jenny’s evolution into painting allowed her to further extend the range of her creative abilities and multidisciplinary interests. Her nature-inspired abstractions and expressionist depictions of the living world explore the healing power of art, as well as the human ability to find hope, beauty, and the possibility of redemption amidst the most melancholic of places. She is the author of the The Giving Way to Happiness: Stories & Science Behind the Life-changing Power of Giving (Penguin Random House, 2014).

Her works are held by private collectors in Thailand, New York City, Singapore and the Philippines.

"The more difficult our lives, the more a graceful depiction of a flower might move us. The tears - if they come - are in response not to how sad the image is, but how pretty. If we did not find life difficult, beauty would not have the appeal it does."

Alain de Botton, Art as Therapy
